Looking for cocktails, lunch or dinner near The Barbican? Osteria is a modern Italian restaurant in London created by Searcys and showcases menus inspired by classic regional Italian cuisine and offers diners fabulous views of the Barbican’s iconic lakeside and fountains. Located in the Barbican Centre, one of the UK’s foremost cultural institutions, the restaurant specialises in bold, ingredient-focused Italian cooking in a bistronomy style, with a focus on Italian produce and seasonality.
Lunch is served from 12pm Monday to Saturday and alongside the A la Carte menu we offer an accessible and regularly changing Lunch Menu from £12.
Our pre-theatre menu offers a generous choice of dishes at £22 for two courses or £26 for three courses. Served exclusively between 5-7pm (when there is a performance on in the Theatre or Hall), it has been specially created to offer the widest choice yet ensure that your food is served promptly, so that you can enjoy a relaxing dinner before the performance.
Amore bibo, Latin for ‘I drink with love’ is the neon sign that greets you as you enter the bar. Cocktails focus on Italian classics such as Negronis and Bellinis but Osteria’s fine mixologist also does a knock out G&T! The wine list includes famous Barolos, Supertuscans and indigenous grape varieties with new generation winemakers from Puglia, Sicily and Sardinia.
Located on the second floor of the Barbican Centre.
We change our menus at Osteria seasonally. In the centre of the restaurant, we have an old meat slicer and table dedicated to house-made charcuterie. Alongside starters of burrata with tomato and basil, beef carpaccio, mustard dressing and parmesan shaving, expect to find sharing dishes such as prosciutto di San Daniele with Charentais melon.
